Are you an early career researcher or research staff member new to the field, or encountering challenges in recruiting diverse participant populations? Do you want to hear practical guidance rooted in experience?
Join us for an interactive online workshop on 25th June 2024 (10:30 - 12:00) where you'll take part in group discussions, gain practical insights and hear about tried and tested strategies for effectively implementing inclusive research methods.

Cherish Boxall, NIHR Doctoral Fellow and Qualitative Researcher, University of Southampton
Cherish, with 10 years of experience in health research, is dedicated to optimising research accessibility and enhancing participant experiences. She focuses on promoting equity and ease of participation, and will be hosting the event.
Peter Flockhart, HSRU Public Involvement Partnership, University of Aberdeen
Since 2018, Peter has been actively engaged with researchers as a patient and public representative. He will work with you to identify organisational and personal practices that promote effective engagement with patient and public representatives.
Rosalie Hayes, Qualitative Health Researcher and Nishat Halim, Research Trial Manager, Queen Mary University of London.
Rosalie and Nishat will discuss their recent experience with multi-site recruitment for the ILANA study, providing insights on how and when to define and implement demographic recruitment targets in your research.
Myshele Haywood, Development Worker, Grampian Regional Equality Council (GREC)
Myshele specialises in supporting and conducting research with different equalities groups, and will help you understand what you can do to help people with different protected characteristics get involved in your research.
