We are seeking applications for a PhD studentship that will fit within the NCRM research programme. This studentship will be supported by NCRM and located within the ESRC Doctoral Training Centre at the University of Southampton.
Applications will be considered in any area linked to the Centre’s research programme in Quantitative Methods, but we particularly encourage applications in the broad areas of survey methodology and/or statistical disclosure control. The successful applicant is expected to bring their own interests to the study and to develop their own methodological research agenda within the broader framework of the Centre’s research programme.
Applicants may be from any quantitative social science background and will follow an appropriate accredited pathway within the Southampton ESRC DTC. The successful candidate will be able to engage with broader NCRM research and training activities and will be supervised by Professor David Martin and Professor Patrick Sturgis. Potential candidates are encouraged to contact the supervisors to informally discuss potential topic areas prior to submitting an application.
