NCRM will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2024 with a series of special activities and initiatives. Further details will be announced in early 2024.

The centre, which is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, was founded in 2004.

Since then, we have grown significantly and delivered a huge number of successful initiatives – from research to training – aimed at advancing methodological practice in the social sciences and beyond.

On 12 December, 20 days before the start of 2024, NCRM hosted a hybrid launch of its anniversary activities for its partners and staff.

Colleagues came together to share the 20th anniversary programme, preview the new logo and unbox some new branded items.

Hosted by NCRM’s Senior Engagement Manager, Dr Ali Hanbury, the event also gave colleagues the opportunity to share highlights from their time collaborating with the centre, which ranged from six weeks to 16 years.

She said: "It was truly humbling to hear people’s highlights, including high-profile cutting-edge developments to vital, behind-the-scenes IT and website updates. This breadth of work has made NCRM successful for two decades."

Early in 2024, collaborators and NCRM users will see some changes to the centre’s branding, in addition to initiatives that will mark our impact and achievements over the past 20 years.
