Nominations are open for a new award that will recognise the achievements of early-career researchers working in the survey sector.

The Survey Futures Early Career Impact Award is open to UK-based researchers who are in their first seven years of employment within survey research.

Run by Survey Futures, the award will celebrate exceptional survey design and methods, as well innovation, professional development and impact.

Winners will receive year-long mentoring, free training – including via courses and events run by NCRM – and other opportunities to support their career.

NCRM is among the key supporters of the scheme, which will conclude with an awards ceremony at the Royal Statistical Society in London on 17 October 2024.

Nomination process

Nominations must be submitted by a tutor, colleague, mentor, manager or other person working with the nominee.

This can be done through an online application form. The deadline for nominations is Friday, 23 August 2024.

A judging panel – which includes NCRM’s Director, Professor Gabriele Durrant – will review submissions and announce six winners approximately one month before the awards ceremony.

The winners will present their work in front of an audience of colleagues working in survey research.
