NCRM has added two new guides to its collection of bitesize lessons on teaching research methods.
The first guide focuses on teaching mixed methods using an open-space learning approach.
The second guide is on teaching qualitative interviewing using a developmental approach.
They are the latest additions to NCRM’s growing series of bitesize guides for methods teachers, which are available to access for free on the centre’s website.
The series features condensed versions of longer papers, taken from Handbook of Teaching and Learning Social Research Methods, by NCRM’s Professor Melanie Nind, and a recent NCRM systematic review.
Topics covered by the other guides in the series include active learning, experiential learning, learning from learners, teaching digital methods and teaching quantitative social science.
NCRM’s range of free online resources for teachers of research methods include a series of quick-start guides, in-depth reads and video tutorials.
