Description:

This free online drop-in is for anyone working or thinking of working with survey data who are looking for help and advice with their project or research. It is targeted at academic and non academic researchers, as well as students, and anyone with an interest in survey data, whether absolute beginners or more seasoned users.

Come along to discuss any questions you might have with experts from the UK Data Service training team during this one hour session.

We can help with topics such as:

  • deciding which surveys could be useful for your project and how to find them

  • finding variables that match your needs

  • understanding survey documentation

  • population inference: using weights and survey design variables

  • working with longitudinal data

  • key things to consider when using secondary survey data

  • software related questions: R, Stata or SPSS

  • any other queries you might have

Please note: We will not be focussing on questions about SecureLab. If you have any specific questions related to SecureLab, there is a separate drop in session on 16 October .

Book your place and we will see you soon.
