This workshop equips you with the information you need to decide how to evaluate your project, programme or activity using quantitative methods.

The workshop addresses the following points:

  • Laying the foundations for good quantitative evaluation: How do you ensure your objectives are clear, specific and measurable?
  • Introducing the quantitative evaluation toolkit: Questionnaires, experiments, structured observation and quantifying open-ended data
  • How do you get a representative sample for your evaluation?
  • How do you ensure your quantitative evaluation plan is realistic?

By the end of this workshop, you will understand:

  • How to describe your intended outcomes for a programme or activity in a way that enables subsequent evaluation.
  • What your quantitative evaluation options are, and how you can choose the best option for your situation.
  • How to develop an initial plan for selecting participants in your quantitative evaluation.
  • How to ensure you have accounted for major challenges and opportunities in your quantitative evaluation plan.
