This module gives you the opportunity to plan a Participatory Action Research (PAR) project in preparation for your dissertation. Students will be given the opportunity to do this through Interchange, a charity that links students to third sector organisations working in social welfare, social policy or criminal justice contexts.
There will opportunities for ‘shared conversations’ on issues involved in planning and conducting a PAR and consideration of: theoretical perspectives that inform a PAR approach; appropriate methods and activities for a PAR approach; and ethical considerations related to a PAR approach.
