Unpacking and Comparing Different Perspectives: An Adaptive Method by Dr Shahla Ghobadi

How can researchers study different perspectives in a systematic yet innovative way? Extant literature suggests that methodological discussions for unpacking and comparing different perspectives are rare. This presentation introduces ‘the adaptive method for comparative causal mapping’. Applicable to various settings, the method provides researchers with analytical capabilities to explore similarities and differences across various perspectives at map level, constructs’ level, and between-constructs’ level. I explain the method through its utilisation in studying ‘How do key stakeholders in agile software development perceive barriers to effective knowledge sharing?’
